Next Summer, "Summer of Roller Coasters"
Here we are after a wet ride. Ernie went with Aaron and they didn't get too wet. But me, Abby, Julie got blasted by some evil boys and were really wet. Since we got blasted we decided it was okay to blast other people, we did that a few times.
Here is Abby and I with Snoopy. We also saw the rest of the Peanut's gang but those pics are on Julie's camera.
It was a bit of an overcast day and had been raining all week. We debated on whether we should go or not. We decided to go, but opted not to go to the waterpark. There were no lines at all. Some of the rides we were the only ones on it. It was great and we rode all the rides we wanted too, and then some. This ride spins you in a circle on the rod, and then also in the air. Ernie and Aaron were too chicken to ride on it. My favorite rides were The Villian, and Head Spin. Ernie like a yellow one that I don't remember the name of but you hang from it. Also after we were there we found out the waterpark is heated. Turned out to be a pretty muggy day and it would have been great to go swimming!
Of course here's my stylin' wanna-be teenager, she was so excited to drive the jeep.
Here's Abby in here bravest moment of the day. She had no idea what she was doing when we put her on this ride. She was the only one on it. It went up about 20 feet then slowly dropped, back up, drop... like a mini rocket from Lagoon. Also she went on a kid roller coaster that was a train, she didn't really like it but we talked her into thinking she did like it. Now she keeps saying when she grows big enough she'll ride on all the roller coasters with us!Monday, July 23, 2007
HOORAY FOR ABBY!
Here is a before the class party picture and then during the rain they still played.
Now I'm not sure if you can see it well, but the 2 girls in black swimsuits are Abby's teachers. The dark haired one reminds me sooo much of my old college roommate Jocie. Even her behaviors are the same. It was nostalgic watching her teach Abby.
Next Day...
Look, Abby wrote her own name!!
So my dear daughter is very smart. She is athletic, funny, and a quick learner. Except that she won't let me teach her anything.
I've been trying to help her practice her writing her ABC's, spelling her name, learning songs and she just won't do it. But if someone else teaches her then she does fabulous.
I was sitting at the computer typing away and Abby got so excited that she wrote her own name. She jumped up and down and was so proud, she couldn't wait to tell dad. I thought it would be a good time to help her practice, nope she decided she didn't want to do it anymore. So maybe another time...

Congrats Dad!
We went and celebrated at McDonalds by getting fries and ice cream (Abby's been wanting some forever)
Ern doesn't go back to school until August 27th, Abby starts preschool Aug 15th- and we'll I'm still unemployed. So we might go do some sightseeing, any ideas on where to go?

Happy Anniversary to us!
We have always loved to eat at the Cheesecake Factory, by far one of my favorite restaurants. But they never had one in Salt Lake. So only on vacation could I ever eat at one. Imagine on our first night here we stumbled upon a Factory, just a mere 15 minutes away, how excited I was. I'd saved up all my cheesecake desires for the anniversary dinner.
Last night we get there about 5:30. It looked pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Almost 15 minutes later, after I had to ask where our waiter was did she come to see us. I think she really meant well but she was a terrible waitress. She didn't bring us our water with drinks (smoothie and a coke), and she was slow in the first place. She took Ern's glass for refill but never brought it back. We ordered our cheesecake to go, but it came to us ready to eat, and then she grabbed my smoothie glass and asked Ern if he wanted a refill, and brought it back to him. He replied when he got the drink back, "yum fruity". I'm not sure if it was all the anticipation built up or just a bad evening, but for sure it was not my favorite Cheesecake memory. At least the food was good.
Then we went home and snuggled up to a good romantical movie, "The Notebook". A favorite love story. It reminds you of all your favorite falling in love moments and makes you want to fall in love all over again. Ahh, true love.
I thought it would be cute to post one of our wedding pictures with this post. But we don't have any on the computer. So imagine us, as cute young kids in love when you read this.
UPDATE: I decided to take of picture of a picture from my scrapbook. I know, not the best but know you don't have to imagine what we looked like 6 years ago on our wedding day!
