The Diet...

Well, it's official, again, we started the South Beach Diet day after Labor Day.

If you don't know much about it, it's interesting. It's a low glycemic diet. You are supposed to choose good carbs, good fats, and low sugar. The first 2 weeks are pretty intense. It's called Phase 1 and is very restrictive. No sugar (including natural, like fruit), no refined carbs (bread, pasta, crackers) etc. We basically eat protein, vegetables and beans... but it has amazing results, and it's only 2 weeks long. After that you can add carbs back into your diet, and eat fruit again!

We did this last year and both of us lost abut 25 lbs. We totally fell off the wagon during the holidays. The between living with the inlaws, a week's vacation at the beach, and a cross country move, we've both managed to gain about half the weight back.

So my goal is to lose 15-20 lbs (skinnier than high school). But hopefully it'll get my PCOS under control so I can get all fat and plump again!

I'm not sure Ern set a goal weight for him, he just wants to get healthy.
