So Abby is sick, again. Well sort of- She has a cough, and during the night wakes up with really high fevers (last night topped 103.1). But during the day she is happy, full of energy and no fever...
This same thing happened just after Thanksgiving. 3 nights in a row. Currently she has had 2 nights.
The worst thing is that she can't go to school, which means I can't go to work. Ern usually can help out but he is stuck in the middle of finals this week. And I only had 3 personal days in my first 90 days- so right now I'm even unpaid.
Do I take her to the doctor? (also no insurance, dang those 90 days) I would if I really knew there was something they could do. But I hate to pay the money just for them to say- "it's only a virus".
Any words of advice?
On a postive note, my house is super shiny- I've done tons of cleaning. And I was needing a vacation from work.

have you checked her syptoms on WebMD or called and left a message for a nurse at the Dr's office?
There are clinics, if you wan't to wait...but it most likely is a virus. Some kids can hang with very high fevers, other don't. She may have th flu. Is she eating and drinking normal amounts for her? My boys have the same sickness patterns, then it finally works it's way down the sinuses, and ends up being a cough and stuffy/runny nose for a week or so, as it works it's way out of their bodies. Then they seem to get sick again. Some schools only say to keep them home if they have a fever and green mucus. But hay if she's fever free during the day???
